GENERAL INFORMATION

MECHANICAL BOMB OF FUEL

Mechanical fuel bomb

1 - empurrador,

2 - placing,

In motors with the carburator without condicionador the mechanical fuel bomb is installed in the left side of the motor.

Removal and installation

ORDER OF REALIZATION
1. For the check of the bomb for desconectar wires of the primary curve of the roll of the ignition.
2. To withdraw a pressure they head the hose of the bomb.
3. An author turns the motor. At the same time the fuel current will follow of the bomb. Otherwise the bomb is defective and it has to be withdrawn.
4. To withdraw a weight they connect of the accumulator.
5. To withdraw the offer and pressure they head hoses of the bomb.
6. To unscrew two pins and to withdraw the bomb (it is specified by an arrow) of the cylinder block.
7. If necessary to take an empurrador (it is specified by an arrow).
8. To unscrew the screw and to discover (1) and the filter from nylon of net (2).
9. To wash out a covering, the filter and the bomb in the gasoline.
10. The installation is done in the sequence, the return to the removal. At the same time to install a covering in the bomb for which the etiquettes (they are specified by firearms) combined, and it will hold tight the screw.

THE ELECTRIC BOMB OF FUEL IN CARS WITH MOTORS DOHC

The fuel bomb is located in the fuel tank and concentrates together with the sensor of level of fuel. The check of the bomb needs the special equipment.

Removal and installation

ORDER OF REALIZATION
1. To withdraw the tank of fuel.
2. To unscrew the block of the fuel they pump / sensor of level of fuel (1 – fuel bomb, 2 – the sensor of level of fuel) of the tank of fuel, using the instrument of special Ford (Ns 23-014) or two transversalmente screwdrivers. To withdraw the placing.
3. The installation is done in the sequence, the return to the removal.

THE ELECTRIC BOMB OF FUEL IN CARS WITH V6 OHC I MOTORES

In all the motors with the system of the injection of the fuel and the carburator with the condicionador to electric fuel bomb it is in use. The bomb is installed below cars behind a gasoline tank at the same time. In the moment of the failure of the fuel they pump first of all to check the corresponding locks of security and the alternation.

For the check of the bomb of the motor with the carburator for desconectar a hose of the provision of the fuel of the regulator of the pressure and to lower it in a measured ship. To include the ignition during 30 seconds and to measure the amount of the fuel pumped during this time that will do, at least, 400 cm3.

The check of the bomb of the motor with the system of the injection of the fuel needs the special equipment.

Removal and installation

ORDER OF REALIZATION
1. To withdraw a weight they connect of the accumulator.
2. To lift an advanced part of the car.
3. A clip to hold tight the hose that goes from the fuel tank to the bomb.
4. To install the corresponding container below the bomb, to take away the pressure in the fuel system and desconectar the offer and pressure they head hoses of the bomb.
5. To withdraw the electric capture of the bomb.
6. To unscrew a pin of the fixation of a collar of the bomb and to withdraw the bomb.
